Alien petitioners for the Diversity Visa Program will no longer be permitted to submit a petition by mail. Instead, the Department will require that all petitions be submitted to it in an electronic format, using an Internet website dedicated specifically to the submission and receipt of Diversity Visa.
Overview
The US Green Card Lottery Program, known as DV (Diversity Visa) Lottery program, is a good opportunity for potential immigrants to obtain the status as a permanent legal resident of the USA. This program runs each year and provides 50,000 "Green Cards" to applicants randomly selected in a lottery process.


How it Works ?This official program will make permanent residence visas available to persons meeting the simple, but strict, eligibility requirements. Applicants for Diversity Visa are chosen by a computer-generated random lottery drawing. The U.S. government makes available 50,000 permanent residence visas each year for this program. Application to this program is open for all individuals worldwide that fulfill the two basic entry requirements. The visas are distributed among six geographic regions with a greater number of visas going to regions with lower rates of immigration, and with no visas going to citizens of countries sending more than 50,000 immigrants to the U.S. in the past five years. Eye diseases :Multifactorial disease?

Some diseases are called multifactorial because they are due to the interaction between genetic events and environmental factors. These are common diseases, present in one in 50 or 100 in the population such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, some cancer and certain psychiatric illnesses like schizophrenia.

Why do we say that these diseases have a genetic component?
The most important argument is the existence of familial cases, with several people with the disease in different generations. Further study of twins that are genetically identical, shows that if one twin is affected with the disease the second is more likely to develop the disease than other siblings or fraternal twins. So although genetic factors are involved.
